Activation

A hotline with a pre-recorded phone tree that fans call to report their obsessions.

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Caller calls the number, is first met with a corporate ringback tone with a “not responsible for obsession” interruption

  2. “Thank you for calling the Mateo’s Obsession Department”

  3. “Please select the number closest related to your incident”

    1. “Press one if there has been an ongoing dispute over the last scoop of Mateo’s.”

    2. “Press two if you have a limb, such as a hand, stuck in a jar of Mateo’s”

    3. “Press three if Mateo’s was used to fuel some form of automobile.” 

    4. etc..

  4. After selecting, the caller is met with some form of “We are not responsible for obsession. It’s on the Jar.“

  5. “Press # to leave a message” caller can choose to leave a message in exchange for free salsa. We can feature these recordings on socials.
